Anxiety Holding You Back?
Is Feeling Depressed Making You Shrink Back From Living?
Anxiety is often described as a feeling of worry, fear, dread, or unease that is often related to anticipation of a future event or the perception of a potential threat. For a person suffering with anxiety it is so much more.
While it can be a natural emotional response, helping us prepare for or avoid danger, for those living with anxiety it is not something that is easy to control.
This often interferes with a person's daily life and their mental health.
Chronic, excessive worry about everyday life events without a specific reason? Sudden episodes of intense panic attacks?
All of these and more... but they are NOT a 'condition' that cannot be eased or eradicated.
Sometimes the mind plays 'tricks' and 'controls' our bodies...
Do you experience physical symptoms? Tension and Restlessness? Feeling jittery, fidgety, or unable to relax?
Or perhaps digestive issues, stomach aches, nausea, or changes in appetite?
Anxiety often makes people more sensitive to stressors, leading to irritability or difficulty staying calm.
Worrying intensely about everyday things, such as health, work, relationships, or finances or feeling overwhelmed.
All is not lost! You are not alone. There is much we can do.
Anxiety and depression are 'mental' phenomena that trigger physical responses within your body.... but, like almost all 'mental health' issues there is a 'root cause' and with care and attention and time and a gentle approach we can unravel and slowly remove the triggering memory and the demonstrated response.
It is normal to have some level of anxiety and we couldn't survive as a species if we didn't have a'fear' response somewhere but it doesn't need to 'take over' your life.
Let's work together in a safe and caring environment to unravel and remove the thought patterns and give you back that wonderful freedom to live a full life.
The exact causes of anxiety are complex and can include a mix of:
Genetic Factors: Family history of anxiety can increase the likelihood of developing it.
Biological Factors: Imbalances in brain chemistry, particularly neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and GABA, may contribute to anxiety.
Environmental Stressors: Life events such as trauma, relationship issues, financial problems, and health concerns can trigger or worsen anxiety.
Personality and Coping Style: Individuals who are more prone to worry or who struggle with uncertainty may be more susceptible to anxiety.
