Welcome to From Fear to Freedom, a compassionate and empowering 6-week online course created for anyone experiencing anxiety, fear, or tokophobia (fear of pregnancy and childbirth). Whether you’re preparing for your first birth or recovering from a difficult past experience, this course offers the knowledge, tools, and support you need to feel safe, informed, and emotionally prepared.

Grounded in a trauma-informed and holistic approach, Fear to Freedom combines therapeutic techniques such as self-Havening, breathwork, mindfulness, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), along with education around the nervous system and birth preparation. Each week is thoughtfully designed to help you build self-awareness, regulate anxiety, and develop practical strategies for managing fear and stress.

By the end of the course, you'll feel more connected to your body, more in control of your experience, and more confident in your ability to make empowered decisions about your pregnancy and birth.

Meet your Therapist and Coach

Hi, I’m Lexi founder of Being Well Solutions and creator of this transformational course. In addition to being a Therapist, Certified Somatic Trauma-Informed Coach, Meditation Teacher, and Breathwork Practitioner, I’m also a proud mum and a former Midwife with extensive experience in maternity care.

Alongside my professional training, I understand first-hand what it feels like to face anxiety, depression, and a difficult birth and postnatal journey. These personal experiences have shaped the way I work—bringing not just knowledge, but real empathy, compassion, and a deep commitment to supporting others through their own journeys.

My personal and professional journey inspired me to create this course with one clear intention: to empower you to help yourself. I take a holistic approach to healing—honouring the mind, body, spirit, and emotions as deeply interconnected. This course is designed to guide you in understanding yourself on a deeper level and to equip you with powerful, evidence-based tools to face fear with confidence and compassion. Fear of pregnancy and childbirth—known as tokophobia—is more common than many realise. WEEK 1

Understanding Fear and Anxiety Around Pregnancy and Birth

The fear of pregnancy and childbirth is very real! In Week One, we gently explore what tokophobia is and why it’s more common than many realise. You’ll start to understand how fear takes root and how it can impact both your mental and physical wellbeing. This week creates a safe and supportive foundation for healing. Your session will include:

  • Defining tokophobia and its types

  • Causes, symptoms, and impacts

  • Understanding and navigating trauma

  • Introduction to the mind-body connection and its importance in pregnancy, birth and beyond

Week 2

The Nervous System & The Physiology of Fear

Includes a Guide to Vagus Nerve Toning and Reset


Having gained an understanding of where your fear my come from, we explore how anxiety shows up in the body and how the nervous system plays a key role. You’ll begin to notice your own stress patterns and nervous system responses. By learning how your body reacts to fear, you’ll gain more control and understanding. This knowledge gives you the power to gently regulate your own experience. It’s about shifting from chaos to clarity

  • Polyvagal Theory: understanding how your nervous system reacts to stress and fear

  • How fear and anxiety are held in our our body

Week 3

Emotional Freedom Technique for Fear Management

Includes free EFT & Tapping Point Guide

In this session you are introduced to Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and the research that looks specifically at its impact of EFT on the fear of pregnancy, anxiety, nausea - and postnatal depression.

You’ll be guided through techniques that calm the body and mind while promoting resilience. By the end of this week, you’ll have a powerful tool you can return to any time fear arises. This is about reclaiming calm, clarity, and confidence—on your terms

  • What is EFT and how does it work

  • How tapping helps regulate the nervous system and process fear

  • Step-by-step tapping sequences for fear, overwhelm, and anxiety

  • Develop personalised Scripts and prompts for managing your pregnancy related fears.

  • How to integrate EFT into your daily routine for ongoing support


Week 4

Breathwork and Mindfulness Techniques for Fear and Emotional Regulation

Includes a free breathwork guide for anxiety

Discover the power of breath and mindful awareness to regulate fear and anxiety. You’ll learn how to use your breath as an anchor during moments of stress and how mindfulness can gently shift your mindset. These simple but effective techniques create inner space, clarity, and a sense of grounded calm. They can be used any time, anywhere—before appointments, in moments of panic, or just to start your day well. Breath and presence are tools that are always with you.

  • How breathing influences your nervous system

  • Breathwork techniques for anxiety

  • Introduction to mindfulness and body awareness

  • Practices to stay present during fear or emotional overwhelm

Week 5

Psychosensory Techniques for Emotional Healing

In this session you are introduced to psychosensory Technique—an innovative and gentle method for helping the brain and body feel safe again.

You’ll experience how emotional responses can be safely deactivated and replaced with resilience and peace. This technique empowers you to reclaim control over your emotions and reframe your past experiences.

  • Guided self help techniques for anxiety and birth-related trauma

  • How to use specific techniques to interrupt negative thought cycles

  • Daily practices to reinforce calm and confidence

Week 6

Integrating and Preparing for a Confident Birth


In this final week, we bring everything together and focus on creating a confident, empowered mindset for birth.

You’ll reflect on your progress, celebrate your growth, and begin to visualise a more supported and peaceful birth experience. Using somatic and mindset tools, you’ll learn how to advocate for yourself and maintain a sense of safety throughout the birthing process. There will be a live Q&A to support you in building a personalised, trauma-informed birth plan. This week is about feeling ready—not perfect, but prepared and empowered. Your healing is your strength.
